Good finds! The two composites look nothing alike in my opinion. The chin is about the only thing similar. The dates, location and MO match up with David Carpenter, but I don't really see a resemblance between him and the sketch.

I don't know why they put that other "guy" in there, or what they were trying to insinuate? But that is how it was in the news article.

I don't even know why they thought it might be the zodiac...but for some reason they thought maybe. But then again they have a ton more info than we do.. .maybe they got a communication and are not saying they did? you never know. Why pick a couple of murders out of the santa cruz mountains and decide out of the blue they might be committed by the zodiac killer. something made them think that. And also obvious the two sketches do not look like the same person... so what are they saying here? 2 killers of the zodiac? I'm telling you the feds know a LOT more than they are saying. So there is some reason they thought these murders might be the Zodiac.
Maybe we should compare that new sketch with anyone we know of that has any connection at all to anything and see if we find them. I'll just keep that sketch in my head when looking at anyone.
wait a minute why is that in the Inidana newspaper? we've never seen that article before. I just stumbled onto in when looking through the old newspapers. So if no one has seen this, why print it in Indiana? Who do we know from Indiana? late me go look at something.

Whoa, the Santa Cruz sketch actually does look like Nichols! The nose is a little different, but the thin lips, jaw, eyes, ears and hair seem to match pretty well. I just don't see any similarities with the Santa Cruz and Zodiac sketches though. The newspaper articles said that the Santa Cruz slayer had horn-rimmed glasses, yet the sketch does not have glasses. That's a bit strange. Nichols was 5'8" and the Santa Cruz suspect was listed as being around 5'9".
The articles being in an Illinois newspaper probably isn't all that weird. I would assume it was in a lot of papers around the country and probably in Canada as well.

that sketch, except for the nose, does look like Nichols, how crazy is that. I doubt very seriously if it is him, but I might just look in Santa Cruz area for Nichols, just in case. That would be too crazy haha
