from another one of the incotelpro docs read all this and then ask yourself, why on sept 9 1970 is SAN FRANCISCO caring about a weatherman event DAYS OF RAGE in CHICAGO DAYS OF RAGE just so happens to be the exact date of the Paul Stine Cabby Murder on Oct 11, 1969Someone was associated with the Bay Area Institute on one event on April 1970, had no connection with the organization, and was living and working in a cabinet shopin Berkeley.Who is this? This in is the cointelpro docs posted over on the Cointelpro doc thread. theslaughterhouse.freeforums.net/thread/445/catch-thread-cointelpro-docs-connected doc is the 6th post down, page 1 of the doc on that post7th post down on same thread Feds have 20 pages of info which makes them think the Weathermen are starting a revolution in Chicago and they attitude on the Chicago Demonstration. Hmmm They are trying to find out exactly where this is postmarked and sent out of Iowa. Reads "Second Battle of Chicago 1969"text by - Tom Thomasphotos by - Ken Shainess and William Wilhelmpublished at Grinell College, IowaI need to check out the Bring the war home chicago stuff with this... my note. I think this happened about the same time as Paul Stine murder, let me get the poster and see.yes here it is 1969 oct 11... but bring the war home lasted a few days. oct 11 1969 Paul Stine was murdered, the exact day of this poster and on THE DAYS OF RAGEChicago: SDS [Students for a Democratic Society], [1969]. First Edition. Quite scarce organizational leaflet for the disastrous 1969 Weathermen rally in Chicago, popularly known as "The Days of Rage." The protest was scheduled to take place on the anniversary of the 1968 Chicago demonstrations: "It has been almost a year since the Democratic Convention, when thousands of young people came together in Chicago and tore up pig city for five days...this fall people are coming back to Chicago: more powerful, better organized, and more together than we were last August." But the action was a legendary failure; only 300 protesters actually showed; they were far outnumbered by police and by the end of the weekend 287 of the 300 protesters had been arrested. The event was widely criticized as a pointless flop, even by observers on the left, and led directly to the SDS/Weathermen split.

I don't mean to keep pounding on the sds/weathermen and all these other groups, but the more I dig and the more stuff in those docs the more I'm wondering.... is zodiac connected to someone in the sds/weathermen? or was incotelpro pretending they were? or was another rival group, like KKK or MM trying to blame Weathermen/sds etc who were considered "commies", which the KKK and MM were totally opposite of. Hard to tell, but I keep searching these docs to try to see if there is anything in there to give us a clue... one thing about it, the gov never ever wanted this stuff out here... the only reason anyone knows about this stuff in the doc, because "someone" stole them haha

I need to find this stuff given to the feds by the special agent, informant in a report to san fran on June 15, 1970. who is this informant? hmmm Radical Think Tank article in Barron's weekly magazine october 6 1969.. I found it in some hearings the date of December 11 is not the date of the article that is the date of the hearings with it in there. This is the article of October 6, 1969. My note: this is 5 days before Stine is Killed.
______________________ copy of Ivory Towers acticle from Barron's issue October 13, 1969 (My note: 3 days after Paul Stine is murdered hmmmm) we need to surely find that one ________________________ a pamphlet about a meeting of the Committee of Concerned Asian Scholars of Standford University. Meeting to be held on April 3, 1970 and Glide Memorial Church in San Fran(my note: another affiliated group) __________________________ A news Article from the Oregon Daily Emerald, issue April 10, 1970... title is Weisberg--Possible Ecology Not Effectivewhy would an informant send the feds this stuff, why are they so important .... need to find these and see why... maybe something in there is a clue? what paper was Paul Stine working for at the time. was he working for one of the newspapers the FEDS / cointelpro was using? could he have know this? ___________________________________ another thing I have always wondered... did Paul Stine find something someone left in his cab, and they came to ask for it and he did not know where it was or told them that, so they killed him. Maybe they were searching for his house keys so they could go to his house and see if they could find the stuff? hmmm wonder WHEN the cointelpro actually ended up with the weatherman code? what if someone lost it? in a cab? and harden did not decipher that code at all. what if the feds did it because the code was found(in a cab?) . let me go see if any of the dates will match up. hmm I'll come back to this post and post if I can find anything or not... the dates might be way off, but maybe they aren't... let me look

mmm could everyone be getting killed over some CODE? hmmm
also remember Cheri Jo Bates, she had paperwork she was working on and had it in her car, left with it, stopped at the bank on the way to the college, and it was not there, so someone had to steal it out of her car while she was at the bank. what did she have? And the cheri jo bates z communications talk about this when decoded. Was CJB possibly connected to one of the college groups sds/lid/etc ... the desk top poem codes out to say yes. "if" the desktop poem has anything to do with z.
gee this all sounds so insane haha... but hmm I'm wondering
well I will work on this idea on another thread later, I don't want to clutter up this one.

This is why COINTELPRO would not put the messages in the Berkeley TRIBE... They knew they would recognize the code was fake.. and they knew the Tribe would recognize the Weatherman CodeSo This is Why Zodiac Article is Over in the TRIBE and it is written by Blaine.Notice the article is saying that the EXAMINER is writing "foolish" messages. And notice how the article knows about the "foolish" Messages, and that COINTELPRO is killing people and giving people licenses to kill. Interesting. COINTELPRO was doing just that, and COINTELPRO new they could not write fake Weatherman codes in the tribe. Did they also know they could not write fake zodiac codes in the tribe? but the new they could write them in the examiner. how did cointelpro know that the TRIBE new the Weatherman code did they also know that the TRIBE knew the Z code? Was it the SAME code? and something else about this article. look at it... it is saying other people are just as guilty of murder as Z hmmm and then goes on to say which murders which are obviously connected to cointelpro and their informants. See, someone knows that. so who knows that? Well, I think for one, zodiac knew it. Well if zodiac did know it, then of course Zodiac case is an extortion case. Which on all the FBI docs it is listed as an EXTORTION case, not a MURDER CASE... so what does that tell you? really really read this article. And why is BLAINE saying all this stuff. where exactly did he get this information? I'm not a gyke person at all. I don't discount him, but I'm not a gyke person. but if I were, I would really be looking at this article again and again. This article is basically telling cointelpro, you have murdered as much as I have and I know it. yes, someone knew it. maybe a rogue informant ? of course they would know it... they were helping to do it. Notice they also list a murder in LA... why LA, how would zodiac know about an LA murder? unless he had something to do with that area in southern cali? maybe our zodiac was also in southern cali? well we think so.. but maybe he was also in Oceanside? I'm digging because I think he might have been.

note to myself.... tomorrow post the terry cannon info... cointelpro were looking all over for him in the same cointelpro docs I am in. they definitely were looking for weatherman. This whole code thing they are trying to post fake messages has to do with the Weatherman Code. Why did they not post weatherman code anywhere then? they posted z code all over. why if they wanted to post Weatherman code, we have never ever seen fake weatherman or even real ones in the papers? or did we, and just did not know what it was. What is the weatherman code, what does it look like? the only code we ever saw was the Z code. are they one in the same?
I'll post the docs tomorrow ____________

another note to myself. Ray Davis and his brother were in Oceanside for 3 months, since early January when Ray Davis is shot and killed. They came out from Michigan. Everyone connected to anything to do with all this radical stuff has ties to michigan. What exactly were Ray and his brother doing in Michigan. Did they go to college? Were they around any of the radical people? were they against the radical people? were they involved with sds, were they against sds. were they against the panthers or anyone? was there anything at all that would made them a target of the group on 519 freeman street? they were right there where this happened. then of course they are right there where stine is killed. they were everywhere and started in 1960, in Michigan.

another note to myself, have to find the other person who was connected to the unitarian unversal church. I'm linking it was luizzo killed by the KKK with the cointelpro informant Rowe involved in that. during the alabama riots with the KLAN and the freedom rides. I need to find that again tomorrow. I know all of this makes no sense yet, but it does all hook up, just takes a lot of time and sorting info to get it out here where other people understand it. oh, also connected to the Unitarian Church is "Sam" Chester Clark Klingel, the person in Eureka who is connected to the eureka Card. probably nothing, but I have to jot these notes on here or I forget and lose everything ________________ ok I went and dug into this some more now.... seems that a LOT of the SDS, Weatherman, Anti-War people etc, were connected to the Unitarian Universal(UU) churches all across the USA... Remember this guy testifying here in the hearings is the INFORMANT among the Weatherman. and look what he is saying... FBI Dead List remember GRathwohl was the informant for FBI cointelpro. He infiltrated the SDS/Weatherman
B. 1947 D. 7/18/2013 US Army ve teran, FBI GRATHWOHL LARRY informant, author Unitarian Church keeps popping up in his testimony I'll Post more later on weatherman and all these Unitarian connections. A lot connected to Flint Michigan, Hawaii, Washington state, and even our "Sam"/Chester Clark Klingel..., and connected to a lot of the SDS
A notable architectural firm, Comstock and Trotsche were incredibly busy designing buildings downtown during the boom years of the 1880’s in San Diego. These buildings include the San Diego Court House, the Unitarian Church, as well as three schools. wonder where the one in Oceanside is? in 1962?
so where was the Unitarian Church for Oceanside at the time of Cabby Ray Davis killed in Oceanside 1962?
and in San Fran at the time of Cabby Paul Stine killed oct 11, 1969 same day as the total huge riot in Chicago/The Days of Rage and they are also attacking cab drivers.

one more note to myself before i go to sleep so I don't forget tomorrow to post about this. post about how the z communications are blaming white supremacist groups and KKK and MM. who would do that haha. getting pretty obvious now. I suspected it all along but I'm really sure now.
Thank god someone stole all these fed docs or we would never know about all this stuff the feds were doing.

ok I'm up this morning and I still can't remember what all I found last night ugh.
But the gist of it is--- If COINTELPRO had the Weatherman code, but we have never ever heard about that and we have never seen it...and...if cointelpro wanted to make fake messages in the news by using the Weatherman code, then why have we never seen this anywhere? Cointelpro states they have an informant at the Examiner and the Examiner will work with them on this, so why was there never anything in the Examiner? The only thing we ever see like this is concerning zodiac and zodiac code... so I really have to wonder, is the Weatherman code, the Zodiac Code? Did Cointelpro think that zodiac was the Weatherman. "Is" Zodiac one or some of the Weatherman? Or someone affiliated with the Weatherman, who knew the Weatherman code and used it. Remember, Cointelpro states in the docs that maybe even if Weatherman had changed their code, that some of the members might not know it and still be using the old code, so if they(Cointelpro) put out fake messages, maybe some of the weatherman (who did not know the code had changed) might think the message is real, and reply. So did the cointelpro put out messages using Zodiac code, which was actually Weatherman code? I'm wondering.
"IF" this did happen, then it is possible that "Zodiac" is right there on Freeman St Oceanside a couple of blocks from where cabby Davis Picks up his killer. And also a very real possibility that Zodiac is all over San Francisco connected to sds and Weatherman. SDS and Weatherman was EVERYWHERE, all across the USA and out of country. That makes sense Zodiac might be also, as zodiac seems to come and go all over.
So with this thought in mind, who are we looking for? Are we looking for someone who was at that freeman address in Oceanside? And they would not even have to be living there for long, they might have popped in, stayed a day or so and left(back and forth) to wherever. Same for San Fran, stay awhile and then gone elsewhere. It makes sense. It also makes sense there could be more than one person involved, different handwriting, different levels of coding, different sketches of suspects, etc. Different ways of killing. It just makes sense to me.
And then of course we have COINTELPRO and all their informants who are actually out there getting away with anything they do, including killing people.
"IF" any of this is happening, which obviously it is(it is in the documents), then it isn't at all farfetched to believe Zodiac is all over the place and the Oceanside CA cabby murder could be very connected to the Cabby Paul Stine murder and all the rest of the look-a-like Zodiac murders strung out all over the place.
I'm definitely not stuck on this idea, but it does make sense, so I'm certainly considering this and going to keep digging on this thought.

so what was going on with Oceanside, CA that SDS and weatherman(not really called Weatherman at the time, but it was same people) would be there? What were they doing while they were there when Ray Davis was murdered? What would have made them want to kill Ray Davis, "IF" they did? What was going on with SDS and that address and in Oceanside on April 10, 1962? SDS had been in existence since 1960, out of Michigan. Were Ray or his brother tied to them in any way back in Michigan? that is the question. Also was Ray or his brother, or his family tied to them in any way in Michigan. Rays Step-father was also a cabby in Michigan.
I wonder if there are any cabbies killed in Michigan? or was there a cabby in Michigan these people got into it with for some reason? Or were they mad at Rays Family or Ray? Were they were tied in any way to SDS in Michigan.
Alan Haber and Terry Connan are both in the cointelpro docs. Alan Haber started SDS in 1960 in Michigan. They were both all over the place, so who were they connected to that might have been Zodiac. Obviously cointelpro was dead after both of them and in the same docs and the Weatherman CODE info. And feds were certainly interested in all the underground newspapers. And this whole thing with THE TRIBE paper and that Z article Blaine wrote, that just made me go HMMMMMM... and again, I am not a GYKE person.(I'm a Z "group" person), but gyke is on my list of possibles. I'm certainly not biased one way or the other, so this makes me go HMMMMM. Why the hell did Blaine put that in the TRIBE? cointelpro knew the TRIBE knew the weatherman code. Blaine says gyke told blaine to post that in the TRIBE... was incotelpro behind this? or who? now that article states that someone is putting "foolish messages" in the EXAMINER, so they are talking about Cointelpro messages is my guess. So they recognized that... so if gyke really did tell Blaine to put that article in the TRIBE, then how does gyke know those messages in the Examiner are "foolish"... means he knows the code. right? well who all knew the code at THE TRIBE... well probably a LOT of people(according to cointelpro) and the only messages in the Examiner were Zodiac, where are the weatherman ones? anyone ever seen any? this is very weird the person writing the Blaine article in The Tribe knows if a message concerning zodiac is "foolish"(fake?) or not. and even thought I am NOT a gyke person, you have to say wow, this is a gyke Hmmm moment. Or a Blaine moment. whoever really really created that article is a huge HMMMMMM.
so do I think gyke was in Oceanside? I doubt the chances are great. but who knows. Did gyke know the weatherman, probably. He was connected to the panthers who were connected to weatherman, all doing the very same things, together. All in underground news and happenings. So yes I totally believe he knew the weatherman. Just how well, who knows. something to think about. but still I"m a zodiac "group" person, not a gyke person, however, I just put out here anything and everything I find; I'm not biased concerning suspects. They could ALL be part of this, closely or loosely connected.
I'll leave it up to the "gykers" to figure out if gyke was in Oceanside, but I think if so, looking at that Freeman Oceanside address connection would be a good place to start

I need to go dig and see if I can find a connection between Ray Davis and his Family and any of the SDS/pre-weatherman people in Michigan. And what is going on with SDS or their connections on April 10, 1962, or thereabouts?
when cabby paul stine was killed in San Fran on October 11, 1969, this was the exact time the SDS /Weatherman were have the "SECOND BATTLE" in chicago ' Bring the War HOME.... by they SDS /weatherman same people had been in existance since 1960, almost a decade. this was there SECOND big battle, taking to the streets and really revolting. by this time they have people scattered everywhere across the USA and in other countries. And SAN FRAN was a HOTBED by far for SDS and WEATHERMAN. It is not "out there" to say, that during this SECOND battle, one of them went out and killed a CABBY, just like a Cabby had been killed in Oceanside CA 7 yrs previous in 1962(Ray Davis). They were there at the time, they were in San Fran at the time, and I can understand how one of them in San Fran decided to have "his own" SECOND BATTLE, killing a Cabby just like in Oceanside, 7 yrs previous. kind of like the song . "Let's Do It Again". I get that, I really do. It makes sense to me.
If you think about all this, in this context, it also explains why zodiac kills and then stops, kills here, then there, and then when all this whole revolution mess is over, no more Zodiac... or if he is still out there killing, cointelpro is not on top of it, publicizing it out there and making it known they have to get this guy... so what happened to change that? well, by then cointelpro had covered up this whole mess and was not longer looking at these people. They had "dealt" with them, removing charges and giving them great jobs. oh yes they did, and that is a fact. So why keep worrying about Zodiac? they didn't.
but Zodiac was at his/its heyday at the time of all the weatherman rioting etc.
so "IF" cabby Paul Stine was murdered during the SECOND BATTTLE and the DAYS OF RAGE, why was the first cabby murdered in Oceanside April 10, 1962, what was going on during this time? If SDS/pre-Weatherman was in Oceanside at 519 Freeman St, then what exactly would be the reason for them to kill Cabby Ray Davis. "IF" they are responsible?

Weatherman Selcection and Training
People involved in the program will try to get jobs in the city. They will be made aware of the job situation in Detroit and urged to seek employment where it will provide the best experiences. Participants will get jobs in bars, restaurants, taxicabs, and shops, as well as a few working out of day-labor slave market
I wonder how many of the weatherman were taxi drivers?

ok I'm starting over here and reading everything again. I like to go back, collect up more info, go back and see if there is anything I missed, then collect more info.
I just now noticed something..... Ray's brother, Jack, got a job working at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Ray as a cabdriver for the Checker Cab Company. The brothers were renting a house at 525 South Tremont Street.
okay for some reason I had thought Ray's brother was IN the Marines etc, not just only Working there.
so, that makes it even more interesting to me; why did the two brothers move to Oceanside from Michigan? Was Jack ONLY WORKING there, and he got a job there. sounds like they just packed up and went there for no reason. Why Oceanside or all places? town of 25,000 people at the time. why not go to san fran or something like all the rest of the people went? so why choose Oceanside? why did both brothers leave michigan in the first place?
what was going on in their lives back in Michigan, 3 months earlier? Do you just get up one day and say, Hey lets move to Oceanside CA, and the other one say, sure why not , and you just go? hmmm

Ran into this an thought it interesting... The SDS and WEATHERMAN had split. SDS wanted to not be so violent while the Weatherman were gung-ho Weatherman are attacking CAB DRIVERS? They are destroying everything, including the things of the normal public people
Weatherman had stated if you can't be there, then wherever you are do something. And they were set out to do ANYTHING they could to get the point across. so we have this small group of Weatherman who were very violent and doing ANYTHING including attacking CAB DRIVERS.
So you have to wonder, what else was going on all over the country during DAYS OF RAGE that was connected to the thoughts of the Weatherman? How easy it would be for "someone" or "someone" in this group or connected to it, to decide to just go out(wherever they are) and kill someone. And how easy is it to kill cab drivers. They pick you up and let you in their car, they go where you tell them to go(all a part of their job, all seeming normal to them), they get you where they want you, and kill you and have an instant get-a-way car they can take to another location and be picked up by someone, or just walk away. Very easy to do. AND THEY CALL THE POLICE to let them know they did it, otherwise, the whole action would not mean much. Yes, they want to RUB THE COPS NOSES IN THEIR BOO BOO's.
somewhere amongst this group, there is a real loose cannon, called the Zodiac. ? makes sense to me
now was this group around in oceanside in 1962? yes they were, on Freeman St. they were not called The Weatherman at the time, but some of them were the same people. So was one of the group at that time on that street, THE ZODIAC? SDS had been around since 1960 and before that LID was around, this stuff goes way way way back. Probably why the age of the person seen in SAN FRAN is "older". Most of SDS founders and early members were older. Then you get in a place like SAN FRAN in the mid to late 60's and you have a really whacked atmostphere. Weatherman were responsible for helping Timothy Leary escape. what does that tell you. Tells me that Weatherman were definitely not opposed to LSD. Tells me any one of them, or any one of the people on the fringes could be whacked in their thinking, violent as hell, and thinking they are RIDING THE WAVE. __________________
This is talking about THE DAYS OF RAGE, BRING THE WAR HOME -October 8-11- 1969
SDS thinks the Weatherman are going overboard.
and they are attacking Cab Drivers.... same date Paul Stine is killed in San Fran Oct 11, 1969 why were the Weatherman attacking CAB DRIVERS?
On October 10 a press release was issued from "SDS National Headquarters" in Boston putting forth the PL-SDS view of the National Action: SDS CONDEMNS WEATHERMEN PROVOCATEURS For the last two days a group of provocateurs claiming to be from SDS have attacked students and working people in Chicago. Wednesday night they broke windows of people's homes and cars and attacked cab drivers . These actions are all the work of a group of police agents and hate-the-people lunatics who walked out of SDS at the June Convention because their ideas had been rejected. Led nationally by Mark Rudd, this gang calling itself SDS- Revolutionary Youth Movement-Weatherman has absolutely nothing to do with SDS. They have been running all around the country attacking people. NO SDS CHAPTER SUPPORTS THEM! Ö We want to build a movement that sides with the masses of American people against the boss class that runs this country. The bosses have used the tiny Weathermen gang of provocateurs as an excuse to call in 2,500 National Guards.
They want to do two things: smear and discredit SDS, smash the honest student movement which is beginning to involve thousands of students in allying with workers.
The bosses want to take peoples' minds away from seeing the bosses as their enemy and focus on the student movement as a scapegoat, while at the same time carry through an attack in working peoples' living and working conditions. This is the oldest trick in the book.
The facts cannot be hidden for long though. We have confidence that the vast majority of people will see through this trick and repudiate Weatherman and RYM IIówho have nothing to do with SDSóand build a united movement of workers and students to fight against racism and

here is something else I'm rethinking as I go back through these docs and after digging more. It might not be Alan Haber they were searching for in particular, it also might have been Tom Hayen. They knew one another way back they were together in the beginning in Michigan, and they were both there in the DAYS OF RAGE... so I have not totally figured that out 100%. Alan Haber's name is in the cointelpro docs, but for some reason they left his name out and not redacted. I had thought them "missed" it, but now I'm wondering if they are not talking about "someone else" who was with him, and it is "someone else" whose name is redacted? if so, that might be Tom Hayden, as he definitely was out of country and all over the place. He and alan Haber were both the upper leadership and were there in the Days of Rage. Tom Hayden was all over the country and out of country working to help just about every kind of "rights struggle" going on over the years. He ended up being a state senator in california LOL; but didn't most of the most radical of the Weatherman ALL end up with prominent positions/jobs etc, rather than being sent to prison? weird if you ask me, but not really so weird if you REALLY think about it. ask yourself: WHY IS "THAT"! hmmmm
don't get me wrong here, I'm an old radical too. I see a lot of good the Weatherman did. but this whole thing of being on the 10 most wanted list one second and then the next second you are not and you then end up with these great jobs and positions and are considered pillars of the community. HUH? let me go out there and bomb the pentagon or riot like that, or kill someone and see what happens to ME. LOL. I can guarantee you I am not going to end up with all charges dropped, a great position/job, and be considered a pillar of the community. hahaha I'm going to be in prison for life. so, yah, something wrong here. haha
but anyway I need to check more to see if the person redacted in the doc is really Alan Haber, or rather is it Tom Hayden, or even "someone else". But they are definitely without a doubt talking about some upper echelon of the SDS/Weatherman
also, "IF" Zodiac is part of the complicated "Monster Play" of the Weatherman, they I can definitely see how he could walk into Belli's and get out of this whole mess and this whole case just go poof; can't be solved. I have suspected that, and it might just be what happened. Our "zodiac" might just be sitting in a very prestigious job right now, or was until they died; just like the rest of them? Don't kid yourself, these things REALLY DO happen. And it is called COINTELPRO and their secret operations. Sound like some crazy "twilight zone" thought? It's in the docs... thank you to the people who broke in and stole the docs. You can call me crazy, but the docs are right here and I'll be posting more of them

and all of you "gykers" out there... start digging and see just how involved "gyke" really was with the Black Panthers and the Weatherman. And did he REALLY write that article that Blaine "wrote" in the TRIBE? again, I'm not a ONE PERSON Zodiac thinker. I think Zodiac is an operation with many people and connected to COINTELPRO with many informants, some of which were right in there with the Panthers and Weatherman. Gyke could have been one. I'm told Panthers got mad at him for some reason. what was that reason? and even if Gyke was never in Oceanside, people need to realize, some of the GROUP could have been, long before Gyke ever left South Dakota.
We will never see the whole puzzle until we find all the pieces and put them together, and this is one huge puzzle with 1000's of pieces. Gyke is only one of them. And what about ALA and all the rest of them? any one of them might be a piece to this puzzle, we are not going to know until we try fitting them all in. I don't discount anyone. I want all the pieces and then try to hook them up.
I do think this murder of cabby Ray Davis very well could be one of the pieces. We are not going to know until we have tried to hook this piece to every other piece and see if "somewhere" it fits.

ok, again, I'm not a gyker, but thought I would do a little research to see where he might be on April 10 1962 when cabby Ray Davis is murdered in Oceanside CA. It's not impossible he could have driven or flown out to CA and back to SD... unlikely, but not impossible; so I am digging to see where he was on the 10th of april 1962. I'll post on this post anything I find about that. October 6 1962 Friday - The article in Argus-Leader Souix Falls, SD
Gyke is saying there is a meeting tomorrow (April 7, 1962, Saturday) He being the chairman I would guess he is going to be at the meeting. So it appears he is in SD on the 7th, 3 days before Ray Davis is being shot. So if he is there on the 7th I don't see he could be in Oceanside until the 8th at the earliest, 2 days before Ray Davis is shot. Let me try to find out where he is on the 8th, 9th, and 10th. October 7th is the meeting in SD Argus - Leader (Sioux Falls SD) April 8, 1962, SundaySo on the 8th it is saying that Gyke did in fact attend the meeting on the 7th( in SD), so that tells me he was in SD on the 7th and most likely would not have been able to leave( if he left, which he probably did not) until the 8th. So let's just say he left on the 8th, that is the 2 days before Cabby Ray Davis is shot in Oceanside, CA. Still not "impossible", so I'll keep looking to see if I can find out where he actually was on the 8th, 9th and 10th. just curious about this org The "National Council of Senior Citizens for Health Care Through Social Security" (later simply "National Council of Senior Citizens") grew out of "Senior Citizens for Kennedy"--the 1960 Democratic campaign operation--and was also headed by former Congressman Forand. Starting with a nucleus of union retiree organizations (the United Auto Workers, United Steel Workers, International Ladies Garment Workers, and others) comprising several hundred thousand pensioners, the organizers of the National Council were able within a few months to build a loose confederation of senior-citizen groups (mostly union, golden-age, senior-center, and church groups) numbering about 1 million persons. Not only did the National Council thus establish itself as a spokesman for the elderly, but it was able to stimulate local political action through its various member organizations.

Did the Zodiac kill in Oceanside? Police re-test evidence in cold case 1962 killing uncovered by Oceanside historianPosted: 7:44 AM, Feb 03, 2020 Updated: 11:24 AM, Feb 03, 2020 By: Derek Staahl OCEANSIDE (KGTV) -- An Oceanside historian was scrolling through microfilm, researching the city’s most luxurious neighborhood, when she stumbled on something unexpected: a decades-old unsolved murder. The more Kristi Hawthorne examined the 1962 shooting of a cab driver and the cryptic phone threats surrounding it, the more similarities she noticed to arguably the most infamous unsolved serial killing case in American history. A question began to nag Hawthorne: Did the Zodiac killer claim his first victim in Oceanside? She brought the case to the Oceanside Police Department’s attention. Last month, the department’s cold case unit submitted ballistics and fingerprint evidence for re-analysis through modern forensic databases for the first time. Although a crime lab determined no further testing was possible on the nearly 58-year-old ballistics, OPD is still waiting for the results of the fingerprint analysis, said Cold Case Investigator Sylvia O’Brien. Still, O’Brien said there were enough similarities to the Zodiac case to warrant follow-up, and she was in the process of reaching out to the appropriate agencies. The Zodiac terrorized Northern California in the late 60s and early 70s with at least five confirmed murders, taunting messages to newspapers written in cyphers, and phone calls to police. In one letter, the Zodiac claimed to have 37 victims. The Oceanside case is a long way from being conclusively linked to the infamous serial killer, but the 1962 shooting of Ray Davis has quickly enthralled some of the amateur sleuths that closely study the Zodiac. “When you compare the really unusual similarities between the killer of Ray Davis and the Zodiac, you get these really bizarre, rarely seen characteristics,” said Tom Voigt, creator of zodiackiller.com. “I think it’s the same guy doing all the killings,” he said. And there’s a chance, Voigt said, the Zodiac is still alive today. The killing of Ray DavisHawthorne, the president of the Oceanside Historical Society, became so hooked by the Ray Davis murder that she spent two years researching the case. According to her research, on April 10, 1962, a 29-year-old taxi driver named Ray Davis radioed his cab dispatcher that he was taking a fare to South Oceanside. The radio call from the recent Michigan transplant came in at 11:10 p.m. The next day, a police officer found Davis’ body dumped in an alley near some of Oceanside’s most influential -- directly behind the homes of the city’s current and former mayors. The body was found in the St. Malo neighborhood, an enclave for Southern California’s rich and famous that continues to be the city’s most upscale community, Hawthorne said. Police concluded Davis had been shot by his last passenger, once in the back through the driver’s seat and once in the head. “Ray Davis was not robbed. He was simply murdered, seemingly for sport,” Hawthorne said. Investigators later revealed that the previous day, an unidentified caller had phoned Oceanside Police with a threat: “I am going to pull something here in Oceanside and you will never be able to figure it out.” Days later, before the mysterious call had been reported publicly, there was a second call to Oceanside police that prompted authorities to take unprecedented safety measures, Hawthorne said. According to the city’s police chief, the caller stated, “Do you remember me calling you last week and telling you that I was going to pull a real baffling crime? I killed the cab driver and I am going to get me a bus driver next.” In the small town of Oceanside, with a population in that era of less than 25,000, police put armed guards on city buses and armed military police on buses heading to Camp Pendleton. “Nothing like this ever would have happened in the history of Oceanside,” Hawthorne said. “It was quite terrifying to the residents.” Similarities to the ZodiacHawthorne presented her findings to Voigt, a prominent figure in the amateur Zodiac community who has been featured in several documentaries. The Zodiac “had training somewhere to be a serial killer. And I do believe it was in Southern California and he worked his way north,” Voigt said in an interview. In a blog post detailing the similarities, he said both cases involved attacks on cab drivers in wealthy neighborhoods, threats against buses, and cryptic messages expressly aimed at baffling investigators. Both killers took the highly unusual step of reporting their own crimes to police and warning of future attacks, he said. “The Zodiac wanted to leave the biggest trace he could,” he said. “And that’s exactly what the killer of Ray Davis did.” Davis was killed with a .22 caliber gun with long rifle ammunition, the same type of gun and ammunition used in the first confirmed Bay Area Zodiac case less than 7 years later, Voigt said. Voigt said there are several unsolved killings in Southern California that he considers candidates for the Zodiac, but the Ray Davis murder would be the earliest. There’s already some evidence the Zodiac may have operated in Southern California. Someone claiming to be the Zodiac took credit for the 1966 murder of Cheri Jo Bates in Riverside County. Based on several other letters, investigators at the time linked the attack to the Zodiac. While Voigt considers the Southern California killing a settled Zodiac case, others have disputed the link. Then there’s the famous Zodiac composite sketch where the suspect has a crew cut. “Some folks believe he might have been in the military. Would he have been stationed here at Camp Pendleton, committed the murder, then to Riverside and then up north?” Hawthorne said. “I’m not saying it’s the Zodiac, I’m just saying there are enough compelling similarities to consider,” she said. www.10news.com/news/local-news/did-the-zodiac-kill-in-oceanside-police-re-test-evidence-in-cold-case

I just bumped into the name SHELL, somewhere 2 days ago and then could not remember where I saw that name before. Now I'm going back through this thread and re-reading everything, and noticed SHELL in the Mystery Series of the book found in Ray Davis' cab. A "SHELL" Scott Mystery. Does this connect up to the name of the other SHELL name I had found in something else. Well, now I can't remember where I saw the "other" SHELL. ugh. I'm sure I'll run into it again. I might be in one of the Cointelpro docs and if so, I can't do a search for that.
Found this though
Joseph Shell, sought the Republican nomination for Governor in 1962
there is the name shell the book(Scott Shell Mystery) left in the cab, is the series of scott shell - left in the cab of Ray Davis Murder 1962, Oceanside.
there was some huge wars going on in oceanside over politics
and one of them owned the tribune - there should be articles going in there
it had to do with this SHELL guy and thomas braden who owned the daily tribune oceanside Daily Blade tribune talking about the john birch society and young american for freedom they were all at war in oceanside
I wonder if it were so big that other reporters etc wanted to go out there to cover it?
so joseph shell was one of the founders of the california republican assembly who ran for governor in 1962 in oceanside. the shell book is in the cab and the body dumped between the two mayors houses and the radical dems at
Mary Shell had managed Joe Shell's gubernatorial campaign in Kern County and became the first woman mayor of Bakersfield, having served from 1980 to 1984. Thereafter, she was a member of the nonpartisan Kern County Board of Supervisors from 1985 to 1996, having first been elected in a contest against the son-in-law of the Hispanic labor organizer Cesar Chavez. Joe Shell walked precincts tirelessly on his wife's behalf, but he never again placed his name on a ballot. In the same election in which Mary won the supervisor's seat, Joe Shell, Jr., lost a publicized race for the California State Assembly to liberal activist Tom Hayden, former husband of leftist celebrity Jane Fonda.
Tom Hayden co-founded SDS. Tom Hayden is all through the Cointelpro Fed Docs. He was one of the Chicago 7 arrested during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. - The were later at the DAYS OF RAGE - Cabby Paul Stine killed oct 11, 1969, when the days of rage was going on in Chicago.
The SDS manifesto, known as the Port Huron Statement, was adopted at the organization's first convention in June 1962, based on an earlier draft by staff member Tom Hayden
The Chicago Seven (originally Chicago Eight, also Conspiracy Eight/Conspiracy Seven) were seven defendants—Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, David Dellinger, Tom Hayden, Rennie Davis, John Froines, and Lee Weiner—charged by the federal government with conspiracy, inciting to riot, and other charges related to anti-Vietnam War and countercultural protests that took place in Chicago, Illinois, on the occasion of the 1968 Democratic National Convention. Bobby Seale, Black Panther, the eighth man charged, had his trial severed during the proceedings, lowering the number of defendants from eight to seven.
Speaking of Abbie Hoffman... just a side note.....
Started the Youth International Party

It was founded on December 31, 1967.They employed theatrical gestures, such as advancing a pig ("Pigasus the Immortal") as a candidate for President in 1968, to mock the social status quo. They have been described as a highly theatrical, anti-authoritarian and anarchist youth movement of "symbolic politics".
Since they were well known for street theater and politically themed pranks, they were either ignored or denounced by many of the "old school" political left. According to ABC News, "The group was known for street theater pranks and was once referred to as the 'Groucho Marxists'." (haha, hilarious Abbie)

This thought just popped in my head.... a long time ago I had wondered if Paul Stine was undercover for the feds. I don't have any proof of that but I had wondered. I'm always brainstorming and 'wondering' things, and then I go see if I can find anything to back up my "wonderings". So, just now I'm thinking, okay there was Paul Stine and Ray Davis, both cabbies. There were also a few other cabbies killed and who know who killed them...but....what if it were common knowledge, or even common "paranoia" that cabbies were "fed informants". It certainly would make sense for the feds to put their informants in cab driving jobs; who better to be able to go anywhere on any street, sit there and watch people and not be "out of place". They just look like they are sitting there waiting for a fare etc. Cops could not pull up and sit there. Unmarked cars with undercover agents could not pull up everywhere and sit there and watch; they would certainly have been noticed. So what better way to get an agent in front of a house to watch, than an agent/informant working as a cab driver. It also gives you a chance to talk to the people you are driving around without looking like you are questioning them. You also get to see what houses they are going to, what businesses, who they are meeting etc. Great way to find out a ton of info and not have to be noticed. The docs say that the people on Guerrero street SF, were seen coming and going all day with printing supplies, so who was watching them, and were they following them? if so, maybe it was cab driver (fed agents) sitting there and following them? and if that is the case, it would make sense if people suspected the cabbies, they might kill them if they were sitting nearby too many times. And also, who is to say that Ray Davis was not a fed agent/informant, working in disguise as a cab driver? He might have been. He comes out of Michigan where they all seem to be coming from. Also(trying to remember, but can't really) -something about when the one cop in "was it vallejo" can't remember... hit the car of the other cop (both off duty) and the one cop shot the other one... the one shot, ran to the Yellow Cab for help? I probably have this all wrong, but I need to go find that info and get this right, but in GENERAL.... that makes me wonder, how did a cop know that they could go to a certain cab company and get help? did they know their were informants/agents driving the cabs? I have to find that, and it had to do with Cointelpro docs. it was the two black cops. baskett and the other cop. I have to have that info on here somewhere, if not I'll find it. I'm going to start a thread about this and work on it Are Cab Drivers Really Fed Agents / Informants? theslaughterhouse.freeforums.net/thread/463/cab-drivers-fed-agents-informants

some more FLUKEY stuff... just brainstorming.I'm really thinking oceanside can be z where he left the cab, you can jump the railroad tracks and go back into the area of the side streets off mission and I think he was picked up around there I think he came from that area the streets off pacific dont go through to that area very often, but if you walk and jump the tracks you go straight there also a group of people living on the 2nd street over, also were in san fran on guerrero and were being watched by feds in san fran and this group is in the fed docs along with goodtimes, barb, and tribe I'm wondering if the killer was somehow tied to that group there in oceanside he might have had connections to the group they were all sds who later became weatherman and they were radical as hell they were all over the usa by 1962 originating out of michigan . where ray davis was from so ray davis is killed april 10 1962 the democratic youth group later became radical in fact they are with the group at the Oceanside house by where the cab picked up the guy they were moving all over starting up new groups maybe someone went to check out oceanside with one of the sds I need to go back and totally reasearch that address again in Oceanside don't have the 1962 directory for that address and it is not online if we had that with the names at that house we could see if there are any matches The Young DemocratsThe Young Democrats of America (YDA) was founded in 1932 as the official youth arm of the Democratic Party of the United States. YDA operates as a separate organization from the Democratic National Committee; following the passage of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act, it became an independent 527 group[2]/"hybrid superPAC". The group's membership consists of Democrats ages 14–36, and its political activities tend to concentrate on increasing the voter turnout of young people and affecting the issues affecting that demographic group. It tends to be somewhat more focused on political activism than the party at large19:48 sds was trying to recruit all the youngs dems at colleges ok that article on the mining and heart and mclaughlin mine etc Itsnotme: and see when they get involved with SDS : and SDS was around since 1960, but really was known in 1962 and started branching out acress the usa it started in michigan with alan haber and not saying was chased all over hell and back by the feds and cointelpro he was a major revolutionary at the time 1960-1962 SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) Ann Arbor Michigan(everything connectes to Michigan) SDS developed from the youth branch of a socialist educational organization known as the League for Industrial Democracy (LID). SDS developed from the youth branch of a socialist educational organization known as the League for Industrial Democracy (LID). LID's themselves descended from an older student organization, the Intercollegiate Socialist Society, founded in 1905 by Upton Sinclair, Walter Lippmann, Clarence Darrow, and Jack London. Early in 1960, to broaden the scope for recruitment beyond labor issues, the Student League for Industrial Democracy were reconstituted as SDS . They held their first meeting in 1960 on the University of Michigan campus at Ann Arbor, where Alan Haber was elected president. The SDS manifesto, known as the Port Huron Statement, was adopted at the organization's first convention in June 1962, based on an earlier draft by staff member Tom Hayden.20:06 I think the YD goes even farther back to like 1935 or so The address I am interested in to begin with is the 519 Freeman street. as you can see this Freeman st address is .5 miles to Mission Ave. Depending on where on Mission Ave the Taxi picked up the killer, it could be as much as 3 1/2 miles away from Freeman... but if someone just left the Freeman address and went to the corner of Mission, it is 1/2 mile. If they walked or drove etc to the corner of Mission Ave from the Freeman address, and then got picked up on Mission by Ray Davis the Cabby in that area of Mission Ave, then it is 1.8 miles from the freeman address and it is 2 1/2 miles from the Mission corner of Freeman to 1926 S. Pacific where the cab was went and if you are 400 block of s pacific, and you go to the 519 freeman address, you see that there are not through streets to that freeman address from 400 block of s pacific unless you come back two blocks and cut over. and look how close it is to just jump the train track and head straight as the crow flies to 519 Freeman Address The other address is at 491 Guerrero Street San Fran.20:09 There is some subject person that INCOTELPRO is after. He is connected up to 491 Guerrero in SF for sure. The groups(and there are several) are at both the Guerrero address and the 519 Freeman Oceanside address. These are the very same groups of people who later become the Weathermen and in SF they are of course connected to every Radical group there is.Feb 4 these are the same groups cointelpro are investigating along with the Tribe, barb and goodtimes so somehow have to get ahold of that 1962 oceanside directory and see who is living at that 519 freeman steet in 1962 Joseph Shell, sought the Republican nomination for Governor in 1962 there is the name shell the book left in the cab, is the series of scott shell there was some huge wars going on in oceanside over politics and one of them owned the tribune - there should be articles going in there it had to do with this SHELL guy and thomas braden who owned the daily tribune oceanside Daily Blade tribune talking about the john birch society and young american for freedom they were all at war in oceanside I wonder if it were so big that other reporters etc wanted to go out there to cover it? so joseph shell was one of the founders of the california republican assembly who ran for governor in 1962 in oceanside. the shell book is in the cab and the body dumped between the two mayors houses and the radical dems at that 519 freeman street that is dang interesting this stuff is all in the congressional records so it is true in the debates in and proceedings of us congress YD in oceanside being so much was going on out there that was very important so it is not totally insane that someone would travel out to oceanside to attend something there with all this going on let me go see something else just how well did someone know hearst at all his papers writing about his mines hearst was - He was praised by many socialists, including Upton Sinclair who compared him to Abraham Lincoln. SDS developed from the youth branch of a socialist educational organization known as the League for Industrial Democracy (LID). LID's themselves descended from an older student organization, the Intercollegiate Socialist Society, founded in 1905 by Upton Sinclair, Walter Lippmann, Clarence Darrow, and Jack London. john sinclair was a huge revolutionary who started the White Panther Party to help the Black Panther Party. out of michigan with haber and not saying he had 42 papers ____________ let me look at the berkley barb owne As a result of his attempt to unionize local taxi drivers, his life was threatened and he was driven out of town by anti-labor goons. that was in maryland In 1965, Max sold the Steppenwolf for $10,000 and used the proceeds to begin publishing the Berkeley Barb. Fittingly, the logo Max chose for the Barb (drawn by Oscar Zavala) shows a skeletal Don Quixote astride a skeletal horse armed only with a lance, whose tip is the Campanile tower on the Berkeley campus remember oscar and I had asked if there was a LANCE who might be oscar The writers and artists Max attracted covered civil rights, labor rights, and anti-war protests not as "impartial journalists" but as active participants –- a radical stance that uprooted the orthodox views of the traditional press so the people at the barb were not just working there, they were radicals Berkeley Barb, "freedom of the press" meant giving voice to untrammeled revolutionary critiques of Establishment values Max had led an austere life. He shunned materialism and imposed the same standards on those around him some of the staff did not like that and left and started THE TRIBE so they are being watched by COIN barb, tribe, express times/ good times and most likely everyone working there guerrer st address because they are seen walking back and forth with printing materials which is the same groups as at the 519 freeman st oceanside address
