I binge watched the entire second season already and must say that it was very well done. After the first season I was about 90% convinced that Avery was framed and 99% convinced that Brendan's "confession" was not true. After seeing season two, I am 100% convinced of both. I thought Avery's lawyers did a pretty good job, but now I have mixed feelings about that. They failed to do a lot of things. His new lawyer, Kathleen Zellner, is a total badass! If she had represented him the first time around, he and Brendan would have never been convicted, although they were both presumed guilty before they even went to trial.
A lot of things in this case really piss me off... I had my share of run-ins with the law when I was young, and I always laughed at them when they would try to pull those interrogation tactics on me, same as they did to Brendan. I hate that they are even allowed to use so many different dishonest tactics on people, and in Brendan's case it worked because he was a very weak minded teenager at the time and they got what they wanted. I knew a couple of kids like Brendan when I was younger, and I saw these kids get pressured into doing some pretty crazy things as well as say things about themselves that embarrassed them even though they knew that the things they were saying were untrue. But in Brendan's case, he really fucked himself by not being strong and standing up to those pigs. You gotta just say "I didn't do shit, I didn't see shit, fuck you, arrest me or I'm leaving." Trust me, it works.
Anyways, Zellner has done an amazing job of collecting new evidence and PROVING that the prosecution and their witnesses lied over and over. Ken Kratz is a douchebag criminal and the Manitowoc Sheriff's Dept is as corrupt as they come. They all belong in prison. Every time I see Andy Colborn's idiotic face, I want to bash it in with a tire iron... Sorry, I'm really a peaceful person but I absolutely cannot stand when people abuse their power. You got two innocent people spending the rest of their lives in prison because of these corrupt douchebags, and the courts won't even allow them another chance to prove their innocence.
I do wonder if Kathleen Zellner is right about what she thinks really happened to Teresa. It's obvious that Steven and Brendan are innocent, but who did kill her and how did everything play out after? The police may have killed her to set up Avery, and that is what I thought after season one, but now I don't think that they did. They just got lucky that they had a girl murdered near Avery's residence and they were able to get things rolling to frame Avery before anyone knew Teresa was dead. I did think that Scott Tadych and Bobby Dassey were lying on the stand and that they may have been hiding something, and now we know that is true. But what are they hiding? Murder? If not, they still know something. I had also wondered where this Ryan Hillegas shit stain fit into the whole thing because in season one it was obvious that he was somehow involved. Zellner has proven that he is involved, even if his role was just to help get Teresa's vehicle onto the Avery property.
One of the last episodes says that Brendan is pretty much fucked and will never get out of prison. Things are looking the same way for Steven all because of how fucked up our justice system is. Zellner has been able to gather more than enough evidence to prove their innocence yet they will never get it into a court room. It's bullshit!

What's everyone think of the accusations of Ed Edwards killing Teresa?
There's also rumors that a prisoner confessed to the murder not so long ago

There's also rumors that a prisoner confessed to the murder not so long ago I think that I need to see some proof first haha. According to John Cameron, Edwards is responsible for every murder in the U.S. since the mid 40's.

The Netflix doc is one sided obviously and there's more than meets the eye but I still think Avery and his nephew are innocent.

Are they going to do a 3rd season? I haven't heard anything on that. I wouldn't be surprised if they do, but they might want to wait and see if anything comes of the Wisconsin inmate that supposedly confessed to the murder.

The is no trace of Teresa's blood anywhere on the Avery property. Manitowoc Co deputies should not have even been allowed on the property. Why did that not cause a mistrial?
